Is Raisman's Twisting Form On Vault The Same As Mustafina's? (GIF)

  1. Its worse. Her feet are never pointed and she nearly has to tuck to make the last twist. Mustafina just bends her acl leg and has a separation on the last twist.

  2. Agreed. I've never been that stoked about Raisman as a gymnast. She can't seem to point her toes to save her life, and her Amanar is sloppy.

  3. If your going to compare them it might make sense to compare them on the same vault... Aly's amanar is messy but compare her DTY to Mustafina's DTY and Aly's is far superior.

    1. Yes, you are right, but even if we compare the DTY, I believe Mustafina is still superior, and if we go to the Amanar (the one Aliya did back in 2010-11) Aliya comes ahead again. I´m not a hater of Aly, but everyone talks about how Gabby was overscored on bars and beam, but no one seems to look how Aly had only six tenths of deduction with her Amanar in the AA, when it was really, really messy (she got almost the same score that Gabby, and she doesn´t have the knees bend or crossed legs or that big hop in the landing)

  4. Yeah, well, I still don't understand how she got a 15.900 for her Amanar in the all-around final. 9.400 for execution was highly too much, if you ask me. Well, I'm quite sure both of the Americans were pretty much overscored in this final, but Aly's score on vault was the biggest joke there. As much as I like Aly, her form is just bad, especially on vault and bars. Oh, and you should watch her triple full on the floor in a slow-mo. I'm kind of mad that everyone's b*tching about Aliya's legs, but no one seems to notice other gymnasts'.

  5. Aly's got horrendous clubbed feet. Back when Aliya was doing an Amanar pre-injury, it was so much better than this monstrosity.
